This dress runs very true to size. I wore it to a NYE 2014 Gala. Quite comfortable. The color was hard to capture in pictures in darker places, but the eggplant color looked great under lights! My arms got a little scratched from the sequins but this was the only things bad I can say about this dress--because otherwise, it's awesome. My recommendations: Wear a heel higher than 3 inches with this dress to avoid using hem tape. As far as undergarments go, you don't need a waist cincher , but I feel like stronger one that what I used would have made a great silhouette (if you don't have a small midsection). Still, I felt fabulous in this dress and got so many compliments on it! Love love loved it!.
