I generally wear a size 6, sometimes smaller. The 4 was a bit large but not awfully so. I didn't feel like I was swimming in it, but knew I could have gone down a size lower. Definitely get a strapless bra and double sided tape. This dress was great for a gala event at the Plaza Hotel in NY. Looked and felt classy. My friends and coworkers could not stop talking about how I looked. I'm 27 with a young face and was looking for a dress that would help me look my age but still be modern. You should definitely plan to steam it before wearing as the bottom will get wrinkled in delivery. I paired it with silver. 4 inch heels worked ok, 5 or highter probably would have worked better.
