I am 5'4" and the dress was just to the floor with my 3.5" heels. The fit was great except for one little thing - it was maybe 1/4" too big on the bust on the side with the bare shoulder. That side was a bit lower as a result. I secured it with some fashion tape and it wasn't an issue. Overall the dress made a great impact at my law school graduation gala. I loved it.
