I thought this dress fit mainly true to size, but because it is stretchy I could see why reviewers think it runs large. The simple cut offset by the sparkly texture made it very wearable. All those sparkles also means you don't have to worry much about jewelry which was great. I would say it is a little warm, so if you plan to do a lot of dancing, be warned.
