This dress was a big hit and I did like it a lot, but it wasn't what I expected in several ways. First, the material looks silky in the picture but it is not. It's a thin material without any sheen. The second aspect (which shows in the picture) is that the neck/halter section is quite a bit narrower than shown in the model photo. I got sizes 4 and 6, and I ended up going with the 6 because it seemed like the neck was slightly wider and could not otherwise descern any difference in fit between the sizes. I don't have broad shoulders but due to the narrow neck I would definitely avoid this dress if you do. The color/pattern was also considerably different between the two sizes, and the size 6 was better (had dark neck like the model photo). Also of note is that it is quite short. I am 5'4" and as you cna see it was several inches above the knee. A lot of this sounds negative but the dress really did look great and deserves the 4 stars. My only complaint was that I think the particular dress I wore had seen quite a bit of wear and drycleaning, as I could see little horizontal lines in the fabric - likely from the thinness of the material (probably doesn't hold up to multple rentals like other materials).
