Rented this dress for a black-tie optional event honoring my boss during holiday season. I rarely choose body-conscious styles (this is form-fitting to the knee) and so I was a little uncomfortable, but everyone raved about the dress. Fabric was shinier and more formal in person, which definitely made it black-tie appropriate. I normally go between a 6 and an 8 - the fabric is not forgiving, so I went with an 8. I wouldn't rent this dress again but would reccomend it if this is a style that speaks to you!
