I didn't want to believe the other descriptions that said the slit was high, but yes, it is very high. Despite my 5'2" height, the leg slit ran nearly up to the top of my leg. I paired it with tights which helped and the actual length of the dress was prefect for my petite size. The website image shows the dress to have gold piping, but it is actually black. The material itself is also a more dark gold than bright gold. I loved wearing it and got lots of compliments!
