The fit is true to size. The corset structure at the top really helps keep everything in place and gives you a nice shape. It is the perfect length...I was running around all night and felt comfortable moving around. It's also a perfect dress for dancing! The skirt really moves and twirls. It's a little sheer (the first time I tried it on I had bright orange underwear on) so make sure you wear nude undergarments, but not too sheer so don't worry too much.
