I wore this for my husband's infantryman's redeployment ball. I lost a lot of weight this past year and haven't tried any dresses on since, so I was nervous about sizing after reading reviews. I'm a pear shape and decided to get sizes a little smaller than my jean size for that reason. I got an 8 and a 6. The 8 fit fine, I thought the 6 would be too small then but I tried it the day of the ball anyways and it fit better than the 8 and I preferred the smaller size. I do have to say- a lot of the reviews mentioned how stretchy the dress material was, but it was NOT stretchy. The bottom half is flowy and the top was way more fitted, had no stretch to it really. The sequins do rub against your skin under your arms but I loved the dress though, people were staring and complimenting all night. I wish I could keep it and wear it all the time!! I'll definitely order a gown (maybe even this one again) from RTR again.
