As many have said it is very long. I am almost 5'11 so was sure I would need the long. Because I am not comfortable in very high heels, I ended up hemming it with hemming tape almost 3 inches. So tall girls - unless you plan to wear a very high heel, you might want to choose the regular. The gathered middle hides any problem areas and I loved not having to wear Spanx or anything tight since the skirt flows so nicely. I also rented some chandelier "sapphire" earrings that made the outfit so was a great look.
