I rented the 12L as well as the 14L and the 12L was perfect! I received so many compliments all night, and I may have teared up when I had to take off the dress at the end of the night. It was the perfect length with 4 inch heels, but if I had been wearing anything lower, the dress would have been too long. I didn't need Spanx since the material was thick. The other reviews are right though, your arms will be scratched up by the end of the night from the sequins. Also, since the dress is so heavy, my legs were a little bit sweaty. Other than that, A+.
