Rented this for a formal winter wedding and got lots of compliments/fit right in with the rest of the glitzy crowd but I liked how the navy stood out amongst the sea of black, I would also mention the color is more purple based blue than blackish navy just for coordinating purposes I read previous reviews and ordered my regular size and a size down, if you are curvy/esp around the bust area I would do the reverse and order regular size and a size larger as my regular size was quite snug around the chest, tight on the rear/hips and very loose in the front mid-section which was great because I could eat whatever I wanted! I did get a little scratched from the sequins but in comparison to other sequin garments it was extremely minimal. I def would safety pin it closed as suggested by others-- I had to add two safety pins as the v goes all of the down to the underwire of your bra Overall it was an amazing dress and I would def rent it again for formal functions, it was nice to just go all out and wear lots of jewels and sparkle and it was extremely comfortable
