I honestly thought that I'd be going with the 8 I ordered, but I ended up with the 6 and even then may have been able to go down a size. I don't typically where dresses, so maybe it was lack of size knowledge. One thing I was surprised about even after reading reviews was the length. Even with 4" heels, my dress still touched the floor and dragged slightly; however, it was manageable. I have a bigger bust and usually I need a bra, but thanks to the wire inside, there was no need and there wasn't a great amount of cleavage! The color of this dress was absolutely stunning. My boyfriend isn't one for red, but he loved it!
