The clasps of these earrings were like a hybrid pierced and clip on, so there is a post through your ear that is secured by the clip going around it. This feature was great because it took a lot of the weight off of the hole in my ear and spread it out for my whole lobe to handle. I sometime can't wear earrings this big, because my ears start hurting, but these were really comfortable. I wore them for 8-9 hours without discomfort. I absolutely love these earrings. As soon as I put them on, my entire outfit jumped up a notch. They were a lot more sparkly than the website picture can convey, so they really drew a lot of attention to my jaw line and framed my face nicely. I kept my make up neutral and light, because these earrings already draw enough attention to the face. I wore them to the opera and after parties and they were perfect for that. I am going to be in a wedding next summer and I hope they are still on RTR, so I can get them again!
