When the dress I ordered months ago came back damaged from the previous renter, I panicked...
This is why I love and have been using Rent the Runway since 2009.
Thursday afternoon, I received a call from RTR that the Crimson Cutout dress I had ordered over 6 months ago had been returned in "unwearable condition" by the previous renter. The black tie wedding I was attending was less than 48 hours later in LA, so I panicked. I had been to the Showroom twice to find the perfect dress and nothing else was going to measure up -especially not the leftovers. While I flipped out, Sheridan (RTR customer service) remained calm. She overnighted 6 styles of my choice, each in 2 sizes, to my hotel in Santa Monica along with complementary accessories. This dress was the winner -classy, but sexy and edgy. It was extremely flattering (no need for Spanx) and showed just the right amount of skin (must use fashion tape). And it danced beautifully -the skirt twirled and the slit was modest but fun. I was not uncomfortable or nervous or self-conscious for a second (though I think that might be different with a larger chest). I received endless compliments from anyone from the mother of the bride to the best man to random people in the hotel. Huge win.
