Last minute back up dress, very pretty!
RTR contacted me the day before my dresses were to be delivered, letting me know one of the sizes I had ordered in a different dress style was unexpectedly unavailable. Thankfully, they allowed me to send in 5 other dresses that I liked, and one of the five that was available would be sent to me in place of the unavailable original order. This dress was my first choice as a back-up, and I was very happy. It was a really hard decision on whether to wear the original dress I ordered, or this back up. While I ultimately did go with my first choice, I would rent this dress again for a different occasion.
This dress mostly runs true to size. I generally wear anywhere between a size 8-10. After reading some of the other reviews, I was concerned that the bodice of the dress may run a bit tight, so I sized up to the 10 out of caution. I probably could have worn the 8, as the back of the dress does have some stretch to it, but the 10 fit fine. If you have a wider ribcage, or larger bust, it probably wouldn't hurt to size up. The only real con to the dress would be the zipper. I had read other reviews talking about the difficulty in zipping the dress, and none were an understatement. The back of the dress is made with stretchy fabric, so has plenty of give, but the ribbing sewn into the back is very hard to zip past. I did need two extra people to zip the dress up- one set of hands to zip, the other set to hold the sides of the zipper in place. However, once on, the dress fit very well, and unzipping did not provide the same difficulties.
As for the length of the dress: I am in between 5'9' and 5'10. I ordered the dress in a long size, and was very pleased. The dress grazed the floor. I would have been able to wear this dress all night in flats and only have to pull the dress up for stairs. I probably could have worn a pair of small heels, but wouldn't want to go over 2-3 inches. Anything more than that and the dress would likely be a bit too short.
