I went RTR because I a) didn't have time to shop, and b) wanted to wear something dramatic and different to a charity gala. I fell in love with the dress, but wasn't sure of the color with my fair skin and strawberry blonde hair. I'm a pretty steady 6 (5'9", 139lbs), so at RTR help's recommendation, I ordered the 42 and 44L. The 42 was perfect. The 44, while ok in the body, was way too big on the shoulder, and the draping fell. Somehow, though the 44 belt was on the 42 hanger, so I tried it first. There was no way I would have fit the 42 belt, as the 44 was snug. I went braless (there's a lined shelf bra, but if you're more than a B cup, go with a strapless bra), and wore the Commando thong. I didn't wear Spanx, but I could see them helping. I'm hooked on RTR because of this dress/experience. I got all sorts of compliments (except from my 3yo son, who liked the other dress better. My 6yo daughter loved it.) from everyone from my husband to strangers. They liked the color, the cut, and I got "You look like a glamorous 20s movie star," "There's no way you have 2 kids," and an actual former European model loved the dress and me in it (yup, coincidentally seated next to her). I went for a modern vintage look with my grandmother's ruched gloves and MIL's fur stole, but this is such a modern dress, you could rock it with uber-modern statement earrings or a massive cuff. If you're considering this, do it. You won't regret it.
