I was surprised because I'm 5'6" and wore 3ish inch heels and did not feel that it was at all too short on me. It was longer than I expected, which was fine with me, but I didn't feel like I needed to wear tights under it to make it appropriate for the event. I usually wear a size 6 dress, but in pants am a size 8 - which is what I got for my back-up size. The 8 was pretty large/loose on me, but the 6 fit great! The color was a beautifully rich, deep purple color and it was perfect - I got lots of compliments and would definitely rent again for a fall or winter event!
