I rented this dress for a black tie optional wedding. The picture does not do it justice - the color and fabric are amazing. The bodice is very structured and does not require a bra. However, this is also because the ribcage on the dress runs VERY small. I hardly ever wear a 6 and thank goodness ordered it as my back up size, because even the 6 was very tight in the rib area. This also results in the dress looking not so flattering in the front, but making you look very thin from the side. Overall, one of the prettiest dresses I have ever seen, let alone worn.
