I'm usually a 4 so that's the size I wore. However, true to other reviews this dress is very "boob-y" if you're blessed with large girls. The 6 was a bit too big and boxy, and boobs weren't out of the question for the party I was attending so it was fine, but if you're wearing it to a conservative affair, I'd size up.
