It fits true to size, but I added the belt to bring it all together. I am very straight and narrow so without it I was somewhat lost in the dress. I needed it to give the illusion of a waist and hips. Overall, I thought the dress was cute. I was just slightly disappointed because I was hoping for something more for my own wedding rehearsal dinner. Either way, I still felt beautiful.
