I have a very curvy figure, so there are very few dresses out there that have a slimming effect on me. This dress was the exception - something about the fabric, the tailoring, and the overall style of it created the very realistic illusion that I was long and lean. I loved it! The material is lightweight but not flimsy, and the tailoring is gorgeous. Loved the color as well. I wore one of those adhesive backless bras, which I hated, but that was more the bra's fault than the dress's fault. I would recommend picking one up, though - the material isn't quite thick enough to go without if you're at a formal event and are concerned about, well, to be blunt, your nipples poking through. And the dress doesn't offer any support up there so you really need to go with either a very low backed bra or the sticky ones. I loved the deep v in the back; I'm 5'6" and wore 3 1/2 inch heels, and the dress touched the floor. I should also mention that this dress is incredibly comfortable. I wore it to a black tie, conservative event for work, and felt very appropriate but still felt like a bit of my style was showing through with the daring back. I wish I could buy it. I loved wearing it!
