At a 1920s-themed ball -- there were two other people there with dresses that were somewhat similar -- I actually did a double-take at one woman several times because her dress was so similar from the waist down, but the top was totally different. That was a slight bit of a bummer, but it was definitely a very beautiful, flattering, and eye-catching dress. Overall I'd say it fit true to size. I'm glad I went with the 6 -- I did also get the 8 as a backup size, but I had almost gotten an 8 and a 10 instead. I was afraid the 6 would be too small as I'm a bit "heavier" than I normally am and I'm wearing size 8 for jeans, etc. I tried on the 8 and it was a bit baggy on the top, so I went with the 6. I'm a bit bigger on the bottom, but I didn't want a baggy top when the bust is supposed to be the showpiece area of this dress. I did get a bit of chafing on the underarm area, not sure if that was from the dress rubbing me or from the shrug I was wearing with it. The length was good - showed the shoes a bit when in heels, but didn't drag on the floor when I finally took the shoes off for dancing later (couldn't stand the pain of the heels anymore after several hours!). I think if I'd have gotten the long, it may have ended up being more cumbersome. Was sad to send it back - very glam, wish I could wear something like that every day! :)
