The fit is so great, especially if you're an hourglass / pear shape...it's really light despite all the fabric and was really fun to dance in...Only problem I had was my heel catching on the lace sometimes and almost tripping, but I learned quickly to watch out for that....I had to wear shorter heels (2.5 inches?), which was a bummer because I like to wear taller heels. Post dinner I was definitely a bit more self conscious about how the dress fit, so maybe wear spanx if you're into that. This dress may run a bit large, depending on what store you typically shop at. I usually wear a 6, sometimes even an 8 at Bebe or BCBG, but a 4 at Limited or Express, so I would keep that in mind.
