I typically wear a 0 or 2 in dresses. I wore spanx underneath and could fit in the zero. Otherwise, I would have gone with the 2. I do have hips and a butt and a smaller waist. I wore 3.5 inch heels with it and it was just right. It was the regular length. There was no dancing at this event, but if there was, another 1/2 to full inch off the floor would have been better. It is very form fitting. I was wearing a padded bra, but if I was bigger on top, it wouldn't have fit. The only disappoint me is that the description says the lace is a black overlay. My earrings have black stones and I wore black heels. However, it looked like a very dark blue overlay. At that point, I didn't have back up earrings so just went with it. Overall, it is a very flattering dress and I would recommend it to others.
