This dress fit really well around the torso area and was tight enough that I didn't have to keep pulling it up all night, which made it a really easy and comfortable dress to spend the whole night in. It was a little long though so if your shorter than 5'4" you're going to have to wear pretty big heels for it to not drag on the floor.
