I wanted the dress to cover my toes, so I used the long dress. If you want to show your toes a little, then I recommend the regular length. I am flat chested, so my dress was a little loose in the front. So, I recommend this for those with bigger busts. So that is why I say it runs a little big. Plus, I usually wear a 2 because I have wide hips, but this fit just fine (other than my chest). However, the color was great, and I received a lot of complements. Be aware that there is a slit on the side.
