The material on this dress is a thick grosgrain. I wore nipple covers with no bra and it worked great. The back of the dress is the real showstopper. I rented the 4L but it was a lttle big on top and could have used the 2L (I'm in the process of losing some weight). At 5'5" and with 4" heels the 4L was a good length and just skimmed the floor.
