This dress is gorgeous and very flattering. My only issue is the length. It was so short. I went with the bigger size because it was about 1/4 inch longer than the smaller size. I'm only 5'3"-5'4" and it was about an inch off the ground without shoes. I actually had to go buy flats to wear to a black tie wedding so I could make the dress work. I'd guess that if you're any taller than 5'4" that this dress would be above your ankles.
