The fabric is extremely forgiving! The Medium was slightly loose and I think a Small would have been better especially since the fabric is stretchy but the fit was fabulous nonetheless. The dress originally hit about an inch above my knee, but it looked too long on my petite frame so I pinned it up a few inches. The sleeves are also a bit long so I simply folded them underneath to create a three quarter length sleeve. The neckline is deep but not too revealing - it showed just enough without fear of any types of slips! Overall extremely flattering! Receive compliments on the dress all night :)
