The medium was actually a better fit in the top but pretty snug on my hips. Since this was a company Christmas party I opted to wear the large and have it not be so form fitting. A good pair of spanx kept everything nice and smooth and I wore an extra padded push up bra to fill up the top. The dress was a little uncomfortable under my arms where the sequins rubbed but it wasn't a big deal. I got a lot of compliments on this dress and felt like a million bucks!
