I wore this to a charity dinner held outdoors, my husband kept gushing about how great I looked and that I turned heads at the event, so this dress has an effect on the men, ladies! I wore peep toe black sparkly heels which matched perfectly. I ended up wearing the 8, but am usually a 10 (even in another Jay Godfrey dress which I rented last month), I think the heft and drape of this dress may allow others to go one size down. The dress was a little shorter than I expected, I'm only 5'3 and the hem was a good 2-2.5" above my knees.
