This dress is amazing! It definitely hugs you EVERYWHERE so if you're body conscious I would look elsewhere. I thought it ran a little small, but the next size up wasn't available so I couldn't compare. I tried it with spanx but it actually looked better without in my opinion (since the dress is already so tight). I ended up going without a bra because my strapless showed on the sides, but if you're less endowed it shouldn't be an issue. It had enough give for walking and dancing-- all in all, the perfect formal dress!
