I wore this for a black-tie-optional holiday party because I wanted a pop of color but not in the expected holiday hues. I was worried it would be too casual, but it was long enough (I'm 5'8 and it came comfortably to mid-thigh, lower than shown on the model) and chic enough that it worked. It also hugged my figure but not inappropriately.
