This dress runs small for sure. I read it in the reviews but still thought "my size will probably work" and I went up a size. I am just short of 5'8 and wore 3 inch heels and the 8L was perfect, but I still had someone step on it at one point in the night. I am also extra busty right now from breastfeeding so I did not wear a bra and found the dress to support me well. Another thing I read over and over again THE ZIPPER! IT is really tough. I had to have help and then finally turned the dress around on my waist and had another pair of hands hold it closed while we zipped it. Then turned it back around and zipped the rest of the way. The zipper was the only reason this dress does not get five stars. It could potentially keep you from wearing the dress at all.
