I rented this dress for a birthday dinner with my boyfriend. The 6 looked good but the zipper was a bit warped-- I'm not sure if it was defective or just a bit too small. In the end the 8 looked good too so I wore that one. My boyfriend loved it and it was perfect for a fancy dinner. I'd say it's true to size but if you're curvy (especially in the booty area) order a size up for the backup.
