Oddly, I ordered the 6L and the 8L and the 6L felt bigger in the top. Not sure if it was from previous wear but anyway, I went for the 8L. I'm usually an 8 or a 10 depending on where the dress is fitted (bust or hips). The dress is very flattering for many figures. One warning is there is a bit of a train so if you're going to be walking around / up and down stairs a lot it's something to think about.
