I tried on several gowns in different styles and by different designers before renting this one and they were all size 12... When I saw that this one only had a 10R available, I saw the reviews that it ran big and crossed my fingers. Luckily it was a perfect fit! We had some trouble with the zipper, but I think that was a function of all the seams meeting in the back plus the heavy fabric. A little wax rubbed on the zipper teeth did the trick :) I wore 4" sandals and the length was just right for my height.
