This dress is best suited to an hourglass figure, because the bust and hips are roomy and the waistband is snug. The bust was way too loose for me in the 16(but a safety pin helped), and in the 14 the bust fit perfectly, but the empire waist was tight. I could have gotten away with the 14, but it's the kind of dress where the zipper bulges in the back if it is too tight. Don't get me wrong, I did LOVE the dress. In fact, I'm renting it again in another color for an upcoming wedding. It was comfortable to wear and it had the most beautiful sparkle. Lots of people complimented me on the dress and asked where I got it.
