This chest area of this dress was a bit larger than I needed (I ordered a 12L and 14L). I'm glad I got the larger size since I had some trouble zipping up the back of the 12 (I typically wear a 12, but it just wasn't happening! I wear a 36D bra size). I am 5'8 and the longer size worked perfectly with a 3 inch heel. I'm glad I didn't get the regular, it would have been way too short. To prevent gaping in the front, I got fashion tape. I wore a regular nude bra and the straps didn't show. Also, the dress is much more rose/rose gold than the photos, so plan with your accessories. I wore pale pink open toe sandals. It would have clashed with true gold or silver. Overall, very happy with the dress. I got a lot of compliments and felt like a star.
