Even though it looks like you can wear a normal bra with this dress you can't. I tried every possible way to avoid a strapless bra but failed and ended up wearing a strapless bra with the dress. I ordered the 6R and the 8R. Both fit well and I could have worn either one, but I ended up going with the 6R as it was easier to walk in with my 3" heels - it perfectly grazed the ground without dragging or getting my heel caught in the dress. It is a beautiful color that will stand out at a black tie affair where everyone is wearing dark colors while at the same time incredibly appropriate for a black tie occasion.
