I wore an 8P because I am just shy of 5'5" and didn't want to bother with heels. The petite just grazed the floor when wearing flats if I slouched and fluttered above if I stood up straight. This gown is a flattering staple I have worn to other events in different colors, I highly recommend it. Sizing runs a little large - I'd consider myself more of a size 10, vanity size 8, ~150lbs
