I rented this dress for a black tie wedding in NYC and it was a hit (unfortunately so much so that another girl was also wearing this dress as well! Luckily we had fun with it). I have broad shoulders and an athletic build (think soccer player). The dress fit perfectly up top even with a bra. I am 5'4 and the bottom of the dress just barely skimmed the floor with my very tall Choos (probably 4 inches with a bit of a platform). So, the length was perfect. I ordered the 8R just in case the 6R was too tight up top but didn't need it (and the 8R was too long). It's safe to say this dress really does run true to size (I'm almost always a 6 up top). The color is beautiful and the way the dress falls on the body is perfect. I would highly recommend this dress to girls of all shapes and sizes!
