I wore this dress to a black tie option wedding and it was ideal. The dress fit wonderfully. I was worried about length after reading other reviews, but with 2" heals the dress was perfect length. I called RTR before ordering the dress to discuss size, and they suggested that I order the long. One fun thing about the dress is how it flows when dancing.
