If you’re wondering how to pull off an elegant look for an upcoming summer charity benefit, take a cue from the lovely Duchess of Cambridge.  The newest and chicest member of Britain’s royal family, Kate Middleton, appeared last night at a charity gala wearing a gorgeous floor-length Jenny Packham gown.

We love the gown’s neutral shimmer, which is festive and party-appropriate yet understated and classy at the same time.  There’s no fussy up-do or excessive eye make-up for this princess.  She stuck to her tried-and-true loose hair and simple make-up to complement the glitter of her gown.

Kate continues to show us that eye-catching fashion doesn’t necessarily mean flashy or over-dramatic, and for that, we bow down.
