I have a bigger chest, so I was stuck between the 6 and the 8. I ended up choosing the 6 because I wouldn't have to worry about it falling down since it was a formal event. I was a bit squeezed and it had to adjust because it would twist to one side throughout the night. Super comfortable and the pockets were really convenient!

The Perfect LBD

I rented this for my birthday in Vegas, and it was perfect for the occasion. It was comfortable and stylish and best of all it had pockets. The length is a little short, but becuase of the shape of the skirt, it stayed in place all night. It was comfortable for dancing, although it did periodically shift to the right and had to be adjusted. But overall, great pick.

Structured like a bustier top, some people may not have needed to wear a bra but I was in between sizes and went up a size to avoid looking squeezed in. With the larger size I needed help holding up the dress so I wore a strapless bra with it. Got so many compliments and felt comfortable and elegant all night.

What a great dress! Wore it to a formal and got lots of compliments. Classy and elegant but short enough to still be fun (even though it was almost too short). I'm 5'4 and usually wear a 2 but it was too big but the 0 fit perfectly. Loved this dress-- perfect for any formal event.

This dress fit well, but I wouldn't consider the fabric "jacquard." It is a fairly thin silk with a little bit of a pattern pressed into it but definitely nothing noticeable, which I was a little disappointed about because I was hoping for a thick jacquard texture. But overall the fit was true to size, I belted it to emphasize the waist and add color.

I thought that I was a size 10 but I'm so happy because I found I lost weight. I fit the size 8, which came with the size 10 dress, with room to spare. I really loved the fact that there was extra security in the bosom area since I'm like an A cup and had to use breast enhancers to fill out the front! lol I'm 5'10" with an athletic build and this dress was the perfect length and suit my body just fine! I love Shoshanna dresses! They fit me perfect! I ordered this dress for a wedding. It arrived a bit worn,(boning exposed and color rubbed off the zipper) and I was disappointed. I called RTR, and they immediately shipped another dress that was perfect. It arrived the next morning! Now that's service!!!!! I love RTR!!!!!!!

I rented the 8 and the 10. The 8 would have fit, but the boning was broken and it felt like wearing a medieval tourture device. I ended up wearing the 10 and taping the dress to me and adding a sating braided belt to help keep it up. Got lots of compliments all night.

I usually wear an 8 or 10, but since I own another Shoshanna dress in a size 8 (and it's a little big) I decided to go with size 8 and size 6 back-up. Glad I did, because the 6 fit a lot better -- If I had a bigger bust (I'm 34 D) I think the 8 would have been perfect, it was just falling down a bit. Wore this to an outdoor October wedding and it was perfect. The only drawback was that in the particular dress I had, the boning had come out of the seams and was poking me in the ribs all night. I actually still have red marks from that. Hopefully that's an isolated issue and has been fixed.

I rented this dress for a wedding. Ordered a 2 and a 0 as my backup size. The dress was HUGE. the 2 fell right off and the 0 barely stayed up (thank god for double stick tape). I taped the dress to me all around - only way it would stay up. This was my first rent the runway experience, needless to say I was less than impressed.

I was totally surprised by how big this dress runs. I am usually an 8, read the reviews and ordered a 6 as well...and the 6 was still too big! I am a little small in the chest area so that may have been the problem, but I have never worn a size 4 and I think I would have to to wear this dress. I was bummed that I couldn't wear it because it is a gorgeous, high quality dress.

For the first time, I had to return my RTR purchase without being able to wear it. The dress is pretty, but it's relatively boxy and un-flattering on the lower half. I am usually an 8, but I ordered the 8 & 10. Both were too big and simply did not look good. It's my first RTR that I can't recommend.

As other reviewers pointed out, this dress is silk and very flowy -- something that doesn't come across in the pictures too well. I got both the 2 and 4, but the 2 was still too big (I usually wear a 2 in dresses, 4 in pants, etc). I tried to pair it with a belt, but it didn't seem to work. That said, while I didn't wind up wearing the dress, I did really like the material and shape, it just didn't work for me so.

I was absolutly so happy with this dress. I was very nervous about renting it, but it fit amazingly and really flattered my body. It is definitely a very flattering dress and I would recomend it to those who have an hourglass figure.

This dress was great! As the other reviewer said, the photos don't do the dress justice. The silk fabric is very light and airy without looking too much like a summer dress. I ordered a 0 and a 2 and the 0 was too small in the chest area and I'm a C cup so if you're any bigger than that I would suggest the larger size. There wasn't much difference between sizes in the waist, hip and length.
