Liked this look! Basically true to size but a little cramped in the chest.

The dress fit perfect all over. It was fitted in the best and waist (as it should) and was free enough around the bum and thighs. I'm tall (5'10) and it wasn't too short as you can see. It was elegant, formal, yet fun and comfy! I would definitely wear it again. 

Dress fit really well. I'm 5'4, and the length was perfect, not too short or long. The lace details were so pretty. I was able to dance comfortably. I wanted a classy dress that wouldn't stand out too much, and this was perfect. 

I ended up wearing my backup. This dress is cute but the lace seemed a little frayed at the neckline. I didn't like that my armpit fat was kind of out for all to see. Tried it on at a Rent the Runway store and was able to get zipped up but there was some small pulling of the fabric in the back. Just a hair too small  to be comfortable. I liked how it looked on all the other reviewers but it just wasn't meant for me. 

I would say the this dress is OK.  The length was perfect for the wedding I attended and the cut and style were very simple and classy.There is nothing super special about this dress, but it is still very flattering and feminine.  I wouldn't say I LOVED it, but it fit well and I would rent it again in a pinch. 

This dress fit well and was really comfortable for a hot, outdoor ceremony and lots of dancing at night!

The dress is fitted and accents your curves. The dress flares out a lil so it helps hide some tummy pooch. No need for spanx! Inside of the dress on the back is also a latch which helps cinches in the area under the bust so you can wear a strapfree bra or even go braless without feeling naked up top. While the dress appears to hit the model mid-thigh, it hit me just above the knees for my short stature (5'3"). I loved this length on me!

Ribcage area is a lil snug so you might need to size up if you have a wider ribcage area or bust. I tried on the next size up and while it was more comfy in that area, the excess room in the chest and hip area was no bueno! Way too roomie. I have a small chest (34A). The capped sleeves look like it might hinder arm movement, but I was able to lift and hold my two kids all night without a problem.

The lace around the collar of the dress is free standing and tends to flop down in the front. The lace around the cap sleeves stays up just fine though. 

The dress is beautiful and comfortable! While I had to work with it a little to get it to fit me the right way I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple black dress. 

I rented this dress as a back up to a different dress. This ended up being the most flattering. I wear between a 6 and an 8. 6 fit the best. A bit short if I needed to bend over to pick something up, but not terrible. I definitely got compliments on this dress! It was very appropriate for black tie optional
Wedding in April in NJ. Tricky to find the right dress bc Jersey weddings have endless food and the weather can be beautiful and warm or cold and snowing. I ate tons of delicious food and was able to dance without problems. Very comfortable. My one negative is that I couldn't raise my arms over my head while dancing, so very little Jersey fist pumping for me. Otherwise a fab dress. 1st rental. Very easy process. I will be renting for my next occasion! 


This dress fit perfect! Was true to size. I absolutely loved this dress and felt very comfortable in it all night. Added bonus is the top fits very snug (but not too tight) so you don't have to wear a bra.  I wore this dress to a formal charity event and received many complements on it. I would rent it again for sure!!

This dress is beautiful, and I got a ton of compliments on it!  It does run true to size, however for a shape like mine (hourglass - small on top, heavier in the middle / bottom), it was not ideal for sitting through a whole wedding for 5-6 hours.  It was fitted in the middle and loose on top in the chest / shoulder area.  I could never have gone a size up because it would have been swimming on top, but then probably a little more comfy on the hips.   It was great for being up and dancing though ... overall very happy with my rental experience!

Beautiful dress! First RTR rental and I could not have been happier. Would highly recommend this dress if you're in need of a black dress for any occasion!

No real cons to this one.  The style was great, timeless.  The fit was true to size.  My only concern was that the shoulders were a little big for me (small chest) but if I were to have gone one size down, there is no way my butt/thighs would have fit.

I was a little nervous about renting this dress as a bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding, so I had three backup dresses ready but didn't need them.  It's a really beautiful dress and the lace makes it a bit different from the standard LBD. The fabric has absolutely no stretch and I ended up wearing the bigger size because it felt more comfortable.  I got many compliments all night long and would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a special LBD. 

Cute little black dress with great lace detail. Fit was tight around the shoulders and I don't consider my shoulders to be beyond average width. I didn't end up wearing it because I'm looking for something for my honeymoon and decided I didn't want black. Would have been nice to wear to dinner though. Loved the open back detail . I usually wear between a 2-4 and this size 4 fit me well other than the tight shoulders. Would probably rent again for the right occasion 

I loved the fit of this dress! It was forgiving in all the right places with me being wider in the hips. The lace was very nice quality, and I loved that it was high in the front but open a bit more in the back so it wasn't too stuffy :) It was the perfect length for me, and I was comfortable wearing taller heels to the wedding without feeling like it showed too much leg.  Really do wish I owned it! 

I rented this dress for my best friend's wedding where I was a personal attendant. I got so many compliments on it and everyone kept asking where I got it from. I did wear a spanx slip underneath because it did just smooth the lines of my bra and underwear but it was very comfortable to wear and move. I would definitely wear/rent again!

This dress was pretty but not one of my favorites I've rented. I found that the center seam wasn't very flattering on me, but I also don't have much of a waist. The lace detail and boat neck was very feminine. 

I didn't actually end up wearing this dress because I liked my back up dress better, but it did fit for the most part. The lace was beautiful and I liked the open back a lot. The only caution I have is for athletic girls with broad shoulders. It was a little tight across my neck because of my shoulders...I still could have worn it in a pinch though. 

This dress was my favorite RTR rental yet. The fit was very flattering and I felt glamorous all night. I highly recommend this for weddings or other formal events.

I ordered a size up from my normal size in order to accommodate my hips (per the sizing notes) and am glad I did. This dress is incredibly flattering - especially on a new mama's body. I am 16 weeks postpartum in the photo. The length is perfect for a formal cocktail party and the lace detailing gives it a classic, Jackie O. look. The dress is comfortable, easily moves with you when you stand, sit and dance. You do need to wear a strapless bra. 

Simple dress but beautiful lace detail and very flattering--would recommend for curvy figures!

I'm usually between a 2 and 4 and the 2 fit perfectly. Usually 2 is too short on me (I'm 5'7) but this one fit great! Detailing in front is also very pretty

Beautiful dress. I would say it is a relatively conservative length on me at 5'4". The back is super cute. Fabric definitely has no stretch. 

This is a great dress!  Simple, but classy.  Unfortunately, I was unable to wear it because of a late delivery (thanks UPS!!)  But tried it on when it arrived anyway - I will rent this one for another occasion!

I picked this dress last minute as the one I chose originally wasn't available. I typically wear a size 6 but only the 4 was available. It fit well but was a tad tight around the hip area, mostly when sitting. It was the perfect style for an evening work event with my husband. I also rented the cuff and earrings to go with it. Another great rental! 

Beautiful dress, wore it for a wedding and received lots of compliments. Only con was the arms can be a little tight, otherwise the rest of the dress fit great!

I usually wear a size 2 and it really fit well. Hit just above my knee and actually has two small pleats in front.  Only con is the boning in the top - one side poked through the inner fabric (not through the outer lace). Made it slightly uneasy while sitting.  Sleeves fit well, not right and was able to wear a normal bra. Overall it was perfect for a formal wedding in NYC, loved it!!

This dress allowed my arms to move for dancing and it was great length!  The natural waist allowed you to have a nice fit without actually having to add a belt or anything.

Had to wear the larger size (I rented a 6 and an 8).  The 6 fit everywhere aside from the chest/shoulders area.  Lace does not 'give' at all and I didn't want to run the risk of ripping the dress from hugging someone or busting out the wrong dance move...LOL!
My friend pictured with me actually rented her dress as well - they were very similar in style.
Overall, very nice dress for a classy, elegant event.

Wore this dress to a wedding in September and it was perfect! Comfortable, classy, and very easy to move/dance in. Love the lace detailing around the neckline and cap sleeves, I received so many compliments! Dress is true to size, I'm 5'4" and dress fell about 2 inches above my knee. Thanks RTR!

Nice fit, loved the bodice structure of the top, didn't even need to wear a bra. Perfect length, super classy 

Nice dress. It's long (on me), classy, and good for Vegas when the bride wants you to wear all black. 

It was a pretty ho-hum dress, it fit well and it was pretty, the fabric is nice but there's nothing really WOW about it.  It has no real shape... I ended up not wearing it.  The lace is really pretty though.

Got so many compliments on this dress. This was the back up dress and it runs big so go up a size! Great dress for a cocktail attire wedding

This actually wasn't the dress I had originally rented (thanks to someone wrecking the one I reserved), but I ended up loving this one even more. The dress was very flattering and fun. It was about an inch longer than I would have liked but that's okay. Overall, the dress was perfect! 

i absolutely loved this dress!! it was perfect for my company's holiday party. it was so flattering and i received so many compliments. I ordered a 10 as a back up just in case but the 8 fit me perfectly. I had no issues at all. i would absolutely rent this again
