A little shorter than I expected which works for me but everybody may not love that. Fit was excellent even for a large-ish bust.

I got this dress with the original intention of wearing the 0. It fit very well, but it had a hole in the lace near the thigh. I wasn't too obvious, but I'm really one to notice everything. I ended up wearing the backup size - 2, which fit fine as well. there wasn't much of a difference between the two sizes. The 2 was maybe half an inch or so longer, and did allow for more "breathing space" in case I wanted to stuff myself over dinner (which I did). But even the 0 would have stretched a little. The band cinches the waist so that it really accentuates your shape, so I can see it being flattering on various body types. RTR also came through with their excellent customer service (as usual), when I told them about the damage on the dress. They gave me a discount code for my next order. RTR never fails to impress in this regard. Fabulous clothes, unparalleled service. I have been a faithful RTR customer, and will remain so for years to come!

This dress is so gorgeous! I felt great wearing it all night; not only because it was comfortable, but also because I felt exquisite. In photos, the dress gives off a silver look, but in person, it does have a gold tint to it (described in the "Product Details" tab on the dress's page). I was reassured that the Nubra push-up was a smart purchase with this dress: the upper back is completely sheer, and I personally like the "naked" look. Speaking of the sheer back, the one negative thing I will say about this dress, is that there are two obnoxious white tags on the back, which contradicts the entire appeal. I really don't understand why the designer would a.) place them there, and b.) make them WHITE tags. Luckily, my boyfriend is very crafty (go figure), and was able to roll up and pin them out of view. If you're wearing your hair down, or in a side style, you can probably manipulate a concealment with your hair. As far as fit, the dress does not stretch (mentioned on the "Size & Fit" tab), and overall, the length, hips, and bust fit in the right spots, even with my wider frame and large butt. I always wear a size 8, and ordered a 10 for the backup. I opted to wear the 8, as the 10 was too loose, but ideally a 9 (if existed) would have been made for me, solely due to the waist. For my measurements, my waist is small, compared to my hips. But I do have a tiny beer gut. After I was drinking and eating, and "expanded" a little bit, I did wish that waistband had just a little stretch! Even so, I still mark the dress as True To Size. Just be honest with yourself that if you have a problem area with your tummy, you may want to go with something different, or will want to steer away from the buffet table. Overall, be sure to read all the tabs on the dress's page (do this for any dress), so that there are no surprises as other people mention when they review. Happy Renting!

Top half fit very well. I wore one of those stick on bras, and there was plenty of room. The bottom half was a little bit snugger and the band was form fitting without feeling too tight. Overall, loved the back of the dress (everyone complimented me on it!). There is a big white tag on the upper left portion of it that can be seen through the lace. Luckily, my tag had fallen off the dress so I didn't have to wear it with it! This dress is perfect for NYE, not too sparkly and zero sequins which makes it incredibly comfortable. Hate how itchy sequins can be! Would definitely recommend this dress to a friend.

I rented this dress for a cocktail party, and it was perfect! The back made such a statement, and I received a lot of compliments. It's a comfortable dress that fits true to size. My only complaint is that the back buckles a little bit through the zipper, but otherwise perfect. This was a dress I was sad to return.

The picture of this dress on the RTR site does not do it any justice. The dress is golden and the gold with the lace is really sexy and classy. Perfect NYE dress. I am really tall but the dress was the perfect length. I read a lot of people thought the belt was too tight in the middle, but I thought it fit great. I'd definitely rent it again!

The dress was unique with the lace back and very flattering. It was a little large on top since I sized up for fuller hips, however it did not look bad. I did use a nubra and it looked great. I did not have any issue with the waist being too tight as some other reviewers did. I would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this dress and the overall RTR experience. The dress runs pretty true to size. I ordered a 6 and an 8 and wore the 6 very comfortably. There is absolutely no give/stretch in the fabric, would have probably ordered a 4; however it was unavailable. I'm 5'10" and the length was perfect. The coloring online is a little deceptive, in person it shows more gold. I received so many compliments and the open/lace back was a hit without being too much!

I loved this dress and did not want to return it!! I received compliments all night and it was super comfortable. The dress did no ride up and I danced the night away. I ended up not wearing a bra as I ran out of time to purchase a NuBra but I wasn't self conscious at all!! I would definitely rent this dress again! The tags however, where placed inconveniently as previous reviews have mentioned. Rent the runway was so helpful and made everything a very easy process!

I got a ton of compliments on this dress! It is even more sparkly in person, and the lace back is sexy, but not too revealing for a fancy party. I wore an adhesive bra so I wouldn't have the strap visible in the back. The dress was slightly bigger than I was expecting, but it still looked great! I would definitely recommend this dress!

The back of the dress is what makes it so amazing! The band around the middle section did feel a little snug but I do have a large rib cage. It is also more of a gold tone in person. It appears really silver in RTR picture. Fabulous dress all around!

I rented this dress for RTR's "Our Runway" event and paired it with black tights and black booties (since it was October in NYC- brr!). Looked great, and I'm certainly keep it in mind for the upcoming holiday season. The back is completely lace, which caused a dilemma with regards to undergarments...plan accordingly!:)

It fit me pefectly at the waist but was not overall too tight and pefect for a wedding. I didn't want to take away from the lace back and wear a traditional bra so I wore a nubra and it worked very well.

This was not the original dress I had ordered. My dress became unavailable the night before it was to arrive so one of the stylists picked out a dress similar to the one I had ordered. The band around the waist was a bit tight, which was uncomfortable all the night, especially when dancing. Also, the back of the dress is see through lace and two big white tags can be seen right through the dress. The material was pretty. Overall the dress was just OK.

As all the reviews say on RTR, I got so many compliments on this dress. It fit great! I will most definitely be renting again. I could have warn the size 0 but it was a family wedding and there was no need to wear something tight lol but both sizes were flattering.

This dress fit amazingly well. The skirt was very comfortable without being too tight and it was very comfortable in the bust as well. The back is sheer, but I wore a black bra and it almost looked like it was a part of the dress. You could also wear a NuBra too if you wanted to keep the back exposed. Such a unique dress, I love it!

I loved the fit and detail of this dress! Just a warning to tall girls... the size 4 was just barely an acceptable length for a wedding so just make sure you feel comfortable showing a little leg.

I wore this to a black tie optional wedding. I loved how classy this dress looks from the front, and then surprises with the sexy open back. I wore with a nu bra. The fitting was pretty much true to size, maybe a little snug in the waist. I received many compliments.

I loved the style of the dress, but as others noted, the waistband was really tight. Also, for us shorter girls, I felt like the torso was too long for my body, which caused some rippling up the zipper in the back. Otherwise, it looked good -- most people couldn't notice these issues. One thing to RTR -- the second size I ordered had a big white tag down the sheer back that I would have wanted moved had I worn it. Fortunately, the tag for the size I wore had been discreetly moved.

I wore this dress for a work holiday party. Fit, style, & color were perfect for the occasion.

My 22 year old daughter thought this was " too young" for me to wear to our big holiday party. All of my friends disagreed! It was perfect! The lace back gives it a bit more sizzle than a regular cocktail dress. It's one I'd love to own.

Very beautiful dress. Do consider your options for a bra tho. Even a nude colored bra could easily be seen thru the beautiful lace back. I just wished it was a little more form fitting. It was a bit baggy so I opted for my other option. I really wanted to love this dress tho.

I actually ended up returning this dress for fit. I was supposed to wear it to my boyfriends office Christmas party but it was too tight in the hips area and fit very well in the waist up. If you have a pear shaped body and are uncomfortable with dresses tight around the hip area, I would recommend trying a different dress. It was really pretty in person though - definitely more gold and the back was gorgeous.

I REALLY tried to make this dress work. Fabric and cut are beautiful. Problems were related to the back. I didn't realize the back was lace, I thought it was illusion. I didn't have a proper bra and no bra was not an option. Also, because of the lace back, I couldn't wear any kind of pantyhose or shapewear. So although really beautiful, I went with my backup dress.

I will definitely rent again from Rent the Runway. It was such an easy process!

I kind of suspected it after seeing the pix of other RTR clients wearing the sheath, but took a chance and ordered it anyway. The black ribbon waist band is very fitted and if you have even the tiniest curve in your belly or hips, this dress will accentuate it and you look a little...well...like a sausage. I think its not too flattering except for very thin girl. Pretty dress, but must have flat stomach and no hips. I am a petite size 4 and did not flatter me - even trying the size 6.

Wore this to a black tie event - looks great with black tights and black heels. Great back - gorgeous with a black lace bra! Fit a little tight in the waist, bigger in the back, so had a weird effect going on, but got lots of compliments regardless!

Loved the sparkly lace on this dress! It is a little snug around the waist band and the lacy back was kinda loose on me, but it still looked great and was comfortable. Great for a formal night time affair!

The dress fit true to size. It's sexy but definitely not over the top and perfect for a wedding. I wore a nu bra to fully expose the lace back which added just the right touch of flirtyness. You can move around with no worries of having to adjust your dress. I highly recommend!!

This dress fit great. I received compliments all night. I never felt uncomfortable - that something was too tight, too short or just not right. No one else at the occasion had the same dress (which other women did have that situation). Thanks, I'll be renting another dress for a wedding we are attending in December.

I rented this dress for a friend's wedding this past weekend and it did not disappoint! After reading the reviews, I ended up ordering a 4 and a 6 based on some of the comments about the waist being too small - I had this issue also so sized up to the 6 and it fit perfectly. Other reviewers also commented on white tags that you could see through the lace - this could be the case. The 4 had tags at the top that could have been seen but on the 6, they were on the bottom and I just tucked them down into the dress. Anyway, still a gorgeous dress! I paired it with black nylons and pumps and it really looked fantastic.

The back didnt fit tight against my bag and sort of sagged/poofed out. You can also see the tags through the back of the dress but I wore my hair down and it covered it up enought.

As I said in the title, the dress was really pretty but the thin black belt at the wait was a bit tight compared to the fit of the rest of the dress. The lace on the back was really pretty and so soft and fit very well. The dress was sparklier in person and had a bit of gold undertones

I rented this dress for an October wedding, with the intentions of belting a cream colored sweater over the top for the ceremony in the church, and then ditching the sweater for the reception. I ended up wearing the backup dress that I rented because it was a lot colder than expected - but had zero issues with this dress whatsoever! It was so flattering with the black detail at the waist, and not overly sparkly. The lace detail is gorgeous, and I'm so sad I didn't end up wearing it, because the back is super sexy and my boyfriend loved it! A perfect rental for a night on the town, NYE or better yet.. VEGAS! I will definitely be renting this dress again :)

Fortunately, I rented this as a back-up dress, and the other dress I got was amazing. Although the concept of this dress is great, it just doesn't pan out. First,there is a large tag in the back is directly under the lace back of the dress, which definitely takes away from the effect. Second,the lace overlay was smaller than the underlay to which it was sewn, causing the bottom of the dress to flip up noticeably. I was really disappointed with this dress.

Awesome dress, fits true to size...lace is delicate on the back, I didn't have a problem with it but could see it getting caught on things.

The dress fit fine and looked great. It was not a great quality, were I to have purchased it, but for a single event, the style was terrific and it was a great dress. I would definitely use this website again because of its large selection and because it's really so easy to use! We'll be back.
