The dress looks and feels amazing, the cut outs are a greyish hue. It was true to size, it fit slightly tight, but was a little short. I had to keep pulling my dress down. Overall I loved it though!!

The 0 fit, but I went with the 2 only because I wanted to be able to dance. The dress is thick because of all the embroidery and does not stretch, so if you are looking for something you can really move in, this is probably not the prefect dress. I did get 100 compliments though!

This dress was great! I wore for a night out in Vegas. It fit true to form, although it is a bit short, and somewhat difficult to bend over in. It is lined with sweatshirt material, so it was like wearing really cute sweats out in public. I would rent this one again in a heart beat.

I rented this on a whim for a disco brunch at Bagatelle. I rented a 6 and 8 (I normally wear 8 but as of late have been able to fit fine into a 6 hooray) and the 6 fit like a glove. The fabric is stiff enough to give some form, but flexible enough so that you can still move around. The sleeves are a little restrictive -- it's difficult to raise your arms higher than chest-height, which was not conducive to fist pumping (which was probably a good thing). The high neckline is certainly conservative, but balanced out by the short length of the skirt. Be careful -- there IS a chance you may flash someone. The zipper is easy. My only complaint is that the black thread that makes up the pattern is a bit worn down. It's not noticeable from far away, but you can see the wear close up. The 6 definitely had less wear than the 8.

Really liked this dress- fit was great in all the right places (bust/waist/butt) the dress was on the shorter side! my legs aren't super long but i still had a good bit of thigh showing. I got a lot of compliments on the dress! Definitely recommend it. Loved it!

I rented the 0 and 2 just in case. They were true to size, fit really well. Loved that the inside lining was cotton so really soft. Definitely intended for a shorter frame - I am 5'2' and wore the 0; it was mid-thigh on me. My friend how is 5'9' tried on the 2 b/c she was considering renting the same dress for a wedding next week and it was too short on her. Overall, highly recommend!

Fun bachelorette party dress

I wore this to my friend's bachelorette party - we all wore black. The inside of this dress is like a sweatshirt material and is awesome. I like the structure. It does have shoulder pads, which at first I was not a fan of, but it ended up being cute. It is a short dress - I am 5'1" and wore the size 2 over the size 0. I wore nylons because it was very short. This was cute, but not my favorite, which could be because I don't wear black often.

I loved my experience with this RTR dress. The shipment arrived on time, the dress was high quality, the fit was perfect. I've been recommending RTR to all my friends and family. I cannot believe that I just found out about RTR! I ordered the 0 and 2 and opted to wear the 2 since the 0 was a different material and the front actually looked crooked as the swirls were off center. I may be opted to wear the 0 if this hadn't been a problem since the material was a little more forgiving and it didn't bunch up when I lifted my arms (you can see a little of the wrinkling in this photo near the bottom). Since I like symmetry and I just couldn't wear the 0...it was strange that the 2 dresses were made of different fabric.

Wore this to my sorority formal and got tons of compliments! Rented the 4 and the 6 after reading the other reviews. I am a 34DD and needed to go with the 6. I had some extra fabric in the mid section so it rode up a little bit. Like other reviewers said, the dress doesn't have a lot of stretch. The lining is gray and it looked best with black pumps rather than a nude pump! Looked great paired with a gold cuff and simple, fancy earrings. Very flattering and great for a bigger chest because you can wear a normal bra! I was super happy with this rental because it was a little bit conservative, a little bit sexy, and very flattering :)

The other reviews were spot-on--this dress has NO give, so if you're used to wearing stretchier stuff, definitely size up on this one. Also, despite having a fairly straight torso, I have a decent-sized butt, and given how short the dress already was, that made it ride even shorter. I wasn't planning on wearing pantyhose, but definitely needed them to make sure I didn't flash anything untoward. But it looked really cute and the pattern was flattering--I'd recommend, but again, definitely size up.

I went to a ball in Boston and got it sent directly to my hotel; I was amazed by the quality of service of RTR! My mom loved my dress so much she tried it on in our hotel room and wants to rent it for herself for her next event! ~The dress was very fitted, but flattering. I loved the cap sleeves but did feel a little restricted in my arms. I am usually a size 8 or 10 because of my large bust. I only got the 8 sent to me because there was a mix up with my back up dress that got two sizes sent to me. But everything worked out perfectly! it was a bit short on me, but that was not a problem at all! LOVED IT!~

i rented this for a wedding and was obsessed w/ it. the material is substantial but i was dancing all night in it and wasn't too hot. i'm short & i like my dresses short and this totally fit the bill! The cap sleeves make your arms look good haha. Paired it with nude pumps to make my legs look longer. i highly recommend! My sister in the pink is also wearing an RTR dress but I forget who makes it!

This was my first experience with RTR but I'd been dying for the opportunity to try it so when I was invited to an out of town wedding I realized I finally had my chance! I ordered the dress in a 4 and 6 and has it delivered to the wedding location ahead of me. The dresses arrived clean and in beautiful condition packed nicely into garment bags (that are mine to keep!) The 6 fit and the length was perfect had I wanted to go bare legged, but it was a little too roomy in the midsection. I went with the 4 ultimately, which fit like a GLOVE but left very little wiggle room in terms of length so I threw on some opaque black tights and suede black pumps. The dress has no stretch to it whatsoever which I found helpful because it created a really structured and sophisticated look while the mini skirt length kept it sexy. I wish I wouldve snagged a few full length shots because these pics hardly do the dress justice, but I truly did get compliments all night and will without a doubt be renting again!!

This dress was perfect for my bachelorette weekend, not cocktail, but not too casual for a dinner at a nice restaurant and dancing later on. The 8 fit like a glove, but was very comfortable. I'm glad it had a heavy lining, because the weather in Chicago was BRUTAL! It's really the perfect dress for busty girls, because it gives you an amazing shape! And I also didn't feel that it was too short. I did wear it with tights and boots due to the weather, but it doesn't ride up, and its stiffness helps keep the hem in place.

The dress was fairly comfortable, though arm movement is a bit restricted. It also fit a little weird on my body, especially around the hips and stomach. Its definitely made for girls with a little hip action, and it was a little too loose on me in that area. The great thing is that my chest fit into the top, which can sometimes be a challenge - so this is a great dress for top heavy girls !

We have a fancy awards show each year and instead of buying an expensive dress, I decided to rent one for the first time. I was a little nervous about the fit and it coming on time. To my surprise, the dress was at my door ready to go the day I wanted. After trying on the two dresses, the first was very short and tight. I decided to go for the larger dress which was a tad longer and fit perfectly. This dress does not have any stretch so if you are concerned, you definitely should go a size up. I was pleasantly surprised at all of the great compliments I received throughout the night. Some fellow RTR members at the event even recognized the dress! Overall, I was very happy with the look and fit. I will definitely be renting a dress from RTR again!

I would wear this dress again. I highly recommend wearing it during the wintertime as the material is very thick and sturdy. It's a well-made, structured cocktail dress. I ordered a 2 and a 4 and went with the 4 for a "roomier" fit. I typically wear a 4 in dresses because of my chest size. If you're approximately my height and weight but have a smaller chest, I'd recommend the 2 for this particular dress.

This dress was great for the occasion. I had a work event at an Italian Gun Club so was very classy. The two issues I had were that I got a size 2 and a size 4 and the size 4 was totally smaller than the size 2 so the labeling must have been wrong and the zipper didn't work on the size 4. The size 2 worked out fine but I would of liked to have possibly worn the 4 to have it a little longer.

Very cute dress for cocktail attire wedding! It ran mostly true to size but there is no stretch in the fabric. I felt more comfortable in the size 2 although the 0 fit as well. I would have probably worn the 0 if I were going out but the 2 was slightly longer and better for the wedding. Definitely a winner!

I wore this to a law firm anniversary party in February. It was a great twist to a LBD. Although the party was inside, it was still a bit chilly, so the "sweatshirt" lining was perfect. You cannot tell looking at the dress that its a sweatshirt material. i ordered both a 0 and a 2. The zero fit perfectly, although if I wasn't going to wear stockings, I might have opted for the two because it is a bit on the short side. I was a little disappointed that there was a small tear on the hem, but it was virtually invisible. The 0 also didn't have the shoulder pads that the 2 did- which made it more comfortable. I felt like the shoulder pads in the two made me look large up top. Overall very happy!

I LOVED this dress- just like all the reviews had said before it was a little snug (I ordered the zero and the two) but ended up wearing the zero. The two was much larger in the hip area and I felt like the dress was made to be snug since it wasn't stretchy/was very slim cut. It was amazing! Definitely shorter but I thought since it wasn't low cut or anything, I could get away with it being a little shorter. Was happy to be standing most of the night though!

A fabulous, well-constructed dress that was very flattering. This dress has no stretch, but the tailoring is so great there were no fit issues. This is shocking considering how tall I am and it still worked for me. I am nearly 6'0, so as you can see this dress is very short on me. Boyfriend loved it though, the shortness kept it on the sexy side and was a great balance to the conservative neckline and thick fabric. Loved it!

First off let me start by saying I ordered two sizes and ended up leaving the correct size home! I almost had a heart attack until my friend suggested I just try the size 6. It ended up fitting perfect except for the fact that it was extremely short. But considering im 6' tall that is expected. I put a a black spandex skirt under to give it a little length if I needed it. This was the perfect compromise of classy and sexy. This dress is definitely a head turner for sure!

I wore this for the first night of my bachelorette weekend. I had tried the size 2 on at the DC RTR popup shop, and it was so comfortable and attractive- just a smidgen big. This dress checks off a lot of requirements for me- great fit, modest but sexy, thick and soft material. The black textured tulle swirls are sewn on top of a gray layer, which feels almost like sweatshirt material. It was freezing in NYC when I wore this, but I felt confident and not over-exposed.

Any dress that gets you into the VIP is a winner!

The fit of this is true to size OR even a bit large... I generally wear a size 6 (which I wore) but it wasn't anywhere near tight. Thick fabric but really pretty take on a little black dress. I think it was a bit longer on me than a lot of the other pictures I have seen (I am 5'3") but still short enough. Overall, very comfortable to wear and I was happy that I rented it!
