It fit really tight in the waist down to your legs which is really good for me because I have a big bust and always have to go up a size. Highly recommend for a little black dress!!

The dress runs true to size overall however the bottom is a little snug, so just be wary if you're wider in the hips/thighs. It was a little difficult for me to sit in this dress because of the tighter fit on the bottom, so that would probably be my only complaint. I was able to use fashion tape (included with my purchase!) to make sure the dress didn't stick out on the top, so that worked out really well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this dress for any event!

The fit was small. This dress has a very tight hem that makes it difficult to walk. I normally wear a 4 however the 4 was tight on my thighs while the 6 was too big in the bust. I ended up wearing the 4 but I felt I had to make small movements most of the night and it was difficult sitting down. I probably should have worn the 6 but was nervous about a wardrobe malfunction :-) with the bust area being so large. The 4 also seemed like it had been worn and cleaned alot. The dye around the zipper was fading and there were a few snags at the bottom of the dress and around the bust line. It required a LOT of double sided tape to keep the top in place. All in all, not sure I would wear the dress again but if I did I would go with the larger size. RTR was prompt and professional so I would definitely use RTR again although I may request them to send one of their dresses that had less overall wear and tear.

It was a bit snug, made it difficult dance, and honestly sit down. BUT I felt beautiful in it. If you're going for a more comfortable dress, get a size larger!

I appreciate a dress that Is well tailored. The material made it very hard to walk comfortably. ha! I don't know if its because I take big steps or if a split was needed. otherwise, the dress was great for a "black and white" opening for my pageant

the size 6 fit overall pretty well however it has NO give at all so going to the bathroom all night was a challenge!

Wore the Tracy Reese Bardot dress instead. The fit on this one runs small on this one.

I didn't get to wear this dress! :( I listened to other reviewers that said that this dress runs very small and ordered a size up.. I normally wear a 2, but ordered the 4 and it was wayyyy to big on me! It's a very chic dress, so I definitely recommend getting it, but order your normal size.

It came with a broken zipper, and it scrunched up weirdly in the back (probably because I wasn't tall enough for it.) I also wasn't a big fan of the material. It was a little bit more synthetic feeling than I would have liked.

In theory this would be beautiful but it's constructed in way to force an unnatural shape on a woman. The chest part sticks out even if you fill out the dress, and the bottom of the dress puffs all around making it look like you're pregnant on both sides. I really do not recommend getting this dress!

This dress was really cute, but did not fit me properly. It was too tight in the waist, but too large on top. I ordered a different dress at the same time which worked a lot better for me.

Dress was pretty, but not a standout. The waist and hips fit true to size, but the bust was too large. I didn't have enough to stuff into the top and I'm a 34B.

Gorgeous material, fit to size, nice for large bust, very roomy in that area. The only issue was it was really tight around the thighs when seated. Totally fine when standing!

Absolutely loved this dress. Wore it to a black tie affair and stood out. Fit is true to form, but best not much wiggle room around the waist to best to step into. Get double-sided tape to ensure no "slips".

this was my first rent the runway dress, and i have done many more since. unfortunately the zipper on the 2 broke, but the 4 fit just fine. having the two dresses saved me! the only complaint i have is the side without a strap would not always stay up exactly how i wanted.

Such a beautiful dress! Wore it for a formal summer wedding. Extremely flattering, but if you have a larger bust (like I do) you'll definitely want double-sided tape for the strapless side. As long as you don't mind a little cleavage, you'll love it!

This was the first dress I have ever rented from RTR and I can definitely say it will be my last. I was so upset when I tried on this dress. It made my hips look massive, not to mention that the top could not fit me even if I was a double D. It looked so awful that I had to go out and buy an emergency replacement dress. So disappointing.

This dress was so pretty and well made but, it runs small and has absolutely no stretch...at all! The bottom of the skirt goes in close to your legs so you can't pull it up to go to the bathroom! You have to literally unzip it and push it down. It was kind of comical even though it was annoying. Also, I had to use double stick tape to hold the side without the strap on to me but it wasn't that bad. Overall, I got a million compliments on the dress!

i absolutely loved this dress! i will say, i am occasionally willing to sacrifice comfort to look good and this was definitely one of those nights. it fit like a glove but the fabric does not give AT ALL. fashion tape is a MUST for the strapless part of the dress. i got tons of compliments and love the dress. i recommend it.

I probably should've read the comments first. It was definitely on the small side of perfect for me in the hips (I wouldn't say I'm big-hipped, but maybe a bit larger than average) but the bust would've fit perfectly only if I was a D cup at least. Even with fashion tape, it was about 3 inches too big on top and looked ridiculous. Luckily I had gotten a backup dress too or I would've been completely out of luck.

This dress looks lovely in the picture, but it is hard to imagine the cut being flattering on anyone. The bottom is extremely tight - I barely have hips and had trouble getting it on - and the top would be loose on anyone smaller than a C. Luckily, RTR sent me another dress the day before my event, because I would not have been able to wear this. Steer clear of the dress!

I wore this dress for my sorority formal and received many compliments. I usually wear a 4 to 6 in dresses. The 6 was too loose in the bust area so I went with the 4. It fit a little snug around the hips but overall it was a great dress!

I am petite, with a very small butt, narrow hips and big bust. With the other reviewers complaining about this dress being tight in the hips and big in the bust, I knew it would fit me perfectly. It did fit, true to size, I got the 0 and 2 and the 0 was perfect. I would say that without a bra this dress was very high risk for a wardrobe malfunction. With a low-cut strapless bra it was perfect, and I knew would not slip too far out of place. RTR also sent fashion tape, which would have been helpful. Overall I liked the dress although it wasn't my favorite. The fabric is a little bulky, so it's kind of a lot of dress for a small cocktail dress, on a small frame. I would recommend, but never purchase for multiple wearings.

Fit like a charm. Just roomy enough in the hips. I have a c cup chest and it fit almost perfectly in the chest...just slightly loose. Got many complements.

Like all the other comments said, you need a fuller chest. I am a 34C and the 4 was still a little big. However, I wore the 6 because the bottom of the dress was a little tight. It looked great on though.

Fit everywhere but the bust - i think you need to be a C cup to really fill it in. But a B cup could work and I didn't need a bra. I'm on the lower end of B closer to an A. Just felt more comfy in another dress since it's getting cold.

I'm a 34C and the bust was way too big on me. I usually wear a 4 or 6 and I felt the bottom half fit fine with a bit of extra room. The dress is best suited for a D+. Such a shame because it's really pretty.

The dress looks beautiful in the picture, but not so much in real life. The right flap is very padded and bulky and too big even for a medium sized chest. Also, mine was bent over in a way that created a crease that caused the flap to jut out from my chest (was afraid to iron out in case it destroyed the fabric). Unfortunately, I couldn't wear the dress out because the top half was too ill-fitting. It may flatter girls with bigger busts, but it is definitely not for girls with medium to small-sized chests.

The dress is absolutely beautiful, but it's a bit tight in the hips and a bit loose in the bust. Definitely best for a woman with a larger chest.

Runs small, but fit my pretty good. Great for a Full Bust like me. Plan on wearing it tomorrow night.

This dress was beautiful and well made but it ran very small in the hips/butt..It definitely is better suited for someone with a different body type I was soo sad it didn't flatter me
